Fall Update

Cabela’s Trophy Properties Update by Gregg Severinson – Director 2009 was an exciting year for CTP. We accomplished many things, most importantly, the completion of our new website. This platform not only gives CTP a better look and feel, it is easier to navigate and is geared to recreational property sales and recreational landowner services. The biggest change concerning the website is what was completed behind the scenes; the new site is crawl-able and searchable for all of the major search engines. This allows our natural search to increase. The October numbers are in and CTP had the highest number of hits during a single month ever! Our participants have reacted positively during one of the most challenging macro-economic times in 80 years. CTP participants have more listings today than have ever been compiled and this will allow CTP a better market share as we experience a positive swing in this market. Recently we have seen high volumes of sales in some areas as well as some large property sales. This allows us to believe the pendulum has hit bottom and is on the way back up. There are several CTP participants who have surpassed their annual all-time high in closed gross commissions in 2009. It is no secret these successes become a reality by finding a way to work harder and longer than the competition. CTP has a diversified marketing campaign. We advertise in the Cabela’s merchandise catalogs; we are now reaching more than 600,000 Cabela’s customers annually with mass mailings, website advertising banners, Cabela’s email newsletters and plans for package inserts from our distribution centers. CTP has merged our Habitat Services and Aquatic Services into one service layer, CTP Landowner Services. The potential of networking between CTP Real Estate Brokerages and CTP Landowner Services Offices increases the Cabela’s brand awareness while enhancing leads and sales for both service layers of CTP. I would like to take this opportunity to let all of you know how much Cabela’s appreciates and celebrates all of your accomplishments in 2009. I would also like to again welcome our new participants to the CTP family. As we enter our sixth year of operation, we have made some exciting strides and also realize goals to accomplish. We are able to gain market share and grow this division by utilizing the Cabela’s brand, the most respected name in the industry. I hope you are able to enjoy the outdoors this holiday season and are looking forward to a prosperous 2010. From all of us at CTP, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
